Times like these

Over the last week a lot of stuff has happened throughout the United States. The corona virus has nearly put a complete shutdown on the whole country. Schools are closed, restaurants and bars are closed, and every major sport in college and the pros have cancelled or postponed their seasons. This is a time that no one on earth has ever experienced in their lives before this because something like this hasn’t happened for over 100 years. While for most people this virus can’t kill you, it still can kill some and with how fast this is spreading it is very frightening. I dont know if I heard right but I heard that a test vaccine has been developed and that they are testing it at this time, so hopefully it works. It’s definitely a crazy time to be alive and one I definitely will never forget

good times, good times

I have had many experiences at Clarion University since I arrived back in August. Many of them Have been good, but I have had a few of them that were not so good. The worst one I could probably think of not being able to wrestle my first semester of college. I got a call from my wrestling coach hours before I was supposed to take the 10 hour drive to Clarion, and he told me the whole first semester I was not eligible to take part in any wrestling related activities which meant no competition, no practice, and no lifting with the team. This was very negative for me because the one reason I came out to Clarion in the first place was being taken away from me. So for four months I was counting down the days until I could finally wrestle with the team again, and eventually that day came after I regained eligibility. My Education

I chose Clarion University because they were the only school with a D1 wrestling program that would give me a chance to wrestle for them. A positive experience I have had at Clarion is all of the new friends I have made on, and off the wrestling team. At first I thought I would never have any friends here because I was coming from so far away, but right when I got here I made a ton of new friends, and within a couple weeks I felt like Clarion was a great place to be. I still do miss home sometimes, but the people I have met at Clarion have made it a lot easier being far from home.

My expectations

I expect to learn a lot this semester. I expect to learn about different things that I did not know about before in my 5 new classes. I expect myself to learn to be a better student and a better wrestler every day. I expect myself to earn at least a 3.0 this semester. I expect myself to learn to become a better writer in English. I expect to learn more about earth in geography. I expect to learn more about education. I expect to learn more about science in inquiry. I expect to learn more about math in math. I think I will learn a lot of things in my second semester just like I did in my first. I think it will be very interesting and I’m excited to see what I encounter.
